Persistant Registry
Save your time,
and possibly the need for linear flash.
Our persistant registry for IDE devices (Compact Flash, Hard drives, IBM
microdrives, and any other IDE device) works on X86 platforms and many other
platforms.
It reads the registry from a file on the ide disk/flash at boot time via the
oeminit.
It does not need a warm reboot, since it uses the ReadRegistryFromOEM call).
For writing the registry, it writes the registry directly to file on
disk/flash (via a WriteRegistryToOem function). You may also use a
RegFlushKey if so desired.
It has been tested on Sandisk CompactFlash, Lexar, IBM Microdrives, Several
Hard drives vendors, and many others.
